Anne Coker

I have opted to leave a successful career in the NHS to pursue an ambition to become a psychotherapist.

I offer face to face confidential counselling and psychotherapy.

My aim is to help you explore, discuss and find solutions to difficult emotional and psychological problems in a supportive non-judgemental therapeutic environment, using a range of evidence based therapies and techniques.

I hold several postgraduate qualifications. Relevant to psychotherapy, I hold a Cosca accredited Graduate certificate in Counselling skills and I am in the final stages of work towards a Postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy due for completion in May 2018.

I have worked with clients with generalised and social anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, stress and challenging life events in a General Practice and in a University setting.

You can expect me to listen and attempt to see your life from your point of view but also pose challenges to assist you to search for solutions that work best for you.

Therapy will usually begin with an assessment, establishment of treatment goals by you, followed by use of evidenced based approaches.

Collaborative working will include jointly agreed set tasks for you to work on between therapy sessions.

My Supervisor is:

Jacqui Law, Psychotherapist and Psychologist of JLaw Psychology Practice, Broughty Ferry, Dundee.

I offer appointments on Tuesday 11am to 8pm.

Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £50
